build epoxy mortar systems provide long lasting,
beautiful floors.
Epoxy mortar systems provide a substrate that is incredibly strong and flat. These systems may be placed on new concrete to provide protection, or on old concrete to repair damage. Typically, a shot blasted floor will receive one coat of epoxy primer, followed by a 3/16" or 1/4" screed box placement of epoxy mortar. Once in place, the floors are power troweled to create a flat, tight surface. All floor joints are honored and saw cut into the new surface. The joints are filled to flush. The floor can be topped with several different materials, including epoxy or urethane. One of the most popular finish products is epoxy top dressing. The thixotropic top dressing provides an attractive, durable finish to the mortar surface. Mortar systems are available in a variety of standard colors. The chemical resistance of the mortar will be dependent on the type of binder resin used. |
